Praise God. . .
. . .for His protection for Leah yesterday. She was riding her new horse, Teddy, in the arena when he spooked and bolted. He ran right towards the fence and somehow (I didn't see the whole thing) fell with Leah on him. She was able to get out from under him and after collecting herself, she wanted to get back on while I was leading him. As soon as she got in the saddle, he took off again, rearing and bucking. She stayed on for a bit, but was not able to stop him and fell a second time. She has a concussion and lost her short term memory. The Dr. said she will not be able to ride again until her concussion has healed completely. Not sure how many weeks (or months) that will be. It was very scary for me to hear her asking every few minutes, "do you know what happened?" or "What day is it?" and repeating other similar things. She is a bit better this morning and remembers more of yesterdays events. Keep her in your prayers for complete healing and wisdom to know what to do with her horse. She is questioning if he is too much for her and I would have to agree. I don't want to see her hurt any worse than this!
