Little cowgirl and painters

Julia has made a remarkable change in riding horses since she got this new pony. She can't wait to ride and wants to ride every day and 2 or 3 times a day. Poor pony. She (the pony) is going to get into shape if this keeps up. So far, she has been really quiet. Julia rode her all alone on the trails on Sunday afternoon, even by the road.
Hannah and Daniel worked hard at painting the garage door and window sills today. It was a great drying day and HOT. We ran out of paint before we even had one coat on, so the paint store owner delivered us another can. Anyone else need painting done???

Yes....Please come paint our pool deck!! We will pay your kids to do it......

What did you name the pony? Babe? Queenie? Callie? Panda? Oreo? Holstein? Domino?

Abby said that if Cassie has a black/white foal, we should name it 'Dalmation'.

Good for Julia! Is there anything different about this pony than Princess (or even Sierra) that is attracting her? Or maybe growing experience is making her more comfortable...

We are still argueing about names for the pony. Julia really likes Stella (not sure where this came from) but Leah and I don't like it at all. As for the difference of Princess and "Stella" : Stella is very quiet and not full of energy, like Princess. Princess was more friendly on the ground (coming over to you in the pasture, wanting to be in the middle of anything you were doing, etc) but had lots of energy when being ridden. She could be controlled easily, but if you weren't sure of what to do, she would just decide! Stella is calm, predictable and steady when being ridden. She is not spooky at all and brave when going thru "scary" things (like a farmyard, beside big machinery, etc)

Stella ---- I think that was the name of a bat in some kids' book or something......for some reason when I hear 'Stella' --- I automatically think of a bat.
