Recent Florida Trip

Well, we just got back from our trip to Florida. We had a great trip and enjoyed having LuAnn with us down there. We drove to Gatlinburg, TN first and stayed 2 nights in the Smokey Mountains. We hiked for 5 hours the one day and had our Sunday church service on the side of the mountain. We had met a young pastor while hiking and told him we were planning on having church during our hike. We asked him to have a short service for us. How neat is that!! God works in wonderful ways and brings the right people into our lives at the right time. It was really neat to sit there on the mountain, read scripture, and sing songs for our church service. After leaving Gatlinburg, we went to Orlando and stayed there 3 nights. We had a neat motel that was like a Holiday Inn holidome that was 1 mile from Disney. We were able to get free tickets for all of us to get into Disney for one day and it was a beautiful day. We were able to do the whole park that day because there was not a big crowd and the weather was fantastic. More on that later. Later that week, we went to the Tampa area and stayed at a beach motel. That was probably our "dumpiest" lodging of the whole trip, but at least it was clean. The location was great, though, so we were not inside much. They had a neat pool and the beach was a short walk from the pool. After leaving Tampa, we went to Williamsburg, VA and LuAnn flew home. This location was only 5 miles from Jamestown and behold, they were having a 400 year anniversary that week and George Bush was to be there the next day. We got to stay in a top notch resort that leg of our trip, but didn't get to see George. I will try to post some pictures of our trip if it doesn't take too long.
