Just a couple of pictures of our recent trip to Goderich. It was a great day for the beach since the weather was so HOT! You will notice we are one short because Daniel is with a friend on a camping trip. I think the kids were a bit embarassed to hang around us since we looked like a couple of hillbillies with our straw hats on. Oh, well, at least we didn't wear socks with our sandles this time!

15 Years Ago. . .
. . . .our little Leah was born. Can't believe she is already that old! This year is one of few we have been able to celebrate her birthday at home. Usually, we are either in Illinois or driving there, so she was happy to be able to invite her friend over for the party and a sleepover. Thankfully, she blew out ALL the candles, so I guess that means no boyfriends : )))

The Baurers are Back!

A week ago, we were priviledged to have the Baurer family come for a visit. While we did more than just dirtbike/bike, we do not have any actual pictures of those other activities. Our photographers were one-sided and only took photos of the "important" events! Here are some pictures (with more to follow hopefully) of us biking at Mount Trashmore and Heidelberg. No one got seriously hurt this year, which is an improvement over last year.
Some other activities we did while they were here include: biking to Wellesley for ice cream, poutine, and breakfast; horseback riding in the arena and on the trails; Divine; eating out at Swiss Chalet; 5 pin bowling (with girls beating the guys!!!); watching the Imformant and Smokey and the Bandit (lame to the latter); fence farming; PPG practice; and farrier work. We had a great time and are already looking forward to next year (same time?)
16 Again

Yesterday, Hannah had her 16th birthday party. Even though she turned 16 in May, we were unable to have the actual party until a month later. She had a houseful of her friends from school and church and thankfully it didn't rain during the party. We enjoyed getting to know some of her friends better and also got to play some beach volleyball in the horse arena. After it started to get dark, we headed back to the bush (that would be "woods" for all you Americans) to a neighbor's cabin for a campfire and s'mores. Hannah did a great job preparing for the party and organizing the events. She takes after her Aunt LuAnn, I think!
