HOI fair fun

Here I am dancing with Oscar the robot. He was pretty cool! We were walking down the road and he came strolling over to us and began talking. I am guessing someone was using a remote, but he had us dancing with him and Daniel was doing a robot walk.

One of the trucks at the semi pulls. It was the first time any of us had watched a truck pull. It was exciting, smokey, and LOUD!!

Starved Rock Hike

Saturday of our vacation, we went hiking at Starved Rock, while most of the boys were dirtbiking at Chucks. We had perfect weather, but that also made for big crowds. The scenery was beautiful and the trails were just challenging enough to keep the kids happy.Posted by Picasa

Tubing on the Illinois River

We had a wonderful day on Greg's boat. The kids especially liked tubing and spent several hours on it.Posted by Picasa

Fun in the sun

Some photos of our time at the Indiana Dunes. It was very fun!

Sweet Suite

Our last stop on our vacation was at the Indiana Dunes. We had reservations at a Marriot by Michigan City. When we got there, they said they had overbooked the motel and our reserved room was not available. But. . .they had given us a free upgrade to the largest room in the motel! :-) It was a very roomy suite with a kitchenette. The motel was newer and had a retro decor. Very bright! We had a nice, relaxing stay. (Thank you, God!)Posted by Picasa

Prince Phillip Games

After about an hour delay because of thunderstorms and heavy rain, the Pony Clubbers get their ponies tacked up.

Julia on Dakota. He did fairly well for not being out much. AND he didn't try to kick ONE horse. YEAH!

A picture of part of the Boomer Creek Pony Club during the awards ceremony.

This is most of the group that was at the competition. It is a BIG deal with LOTS of ponies of all shapes and sizes! It if fun just to go and watch all the horse activity at the games.

Happy 14th Birthday, Leah

Yesterday was Leah's 14 birthday. Here are some pictures of her this past month.
Can't believe our little Leah is in high school now, is taller than me, and soon enough will be asking for the car keys!Posted by Picasa
